Introduction

   FloorSimple in one workspace: customers, jobs, quotes, invoices, inventory, purchasing, scheduling, and your crew.

Getting started

1. First 15 minutes (new owners)

   The fastest path from "I just signed up" to "I can quote a customer."

2. Roles and what each can do

   Two roles inside a shop — owner and staff. What each can see and change.

3. Signing in and account access

   Accept an invite, sign in, reset a forgotten password, sign out.

4. Finding your way around

Sales

   The people and businesses you sell to. Summary header, contacts, addresses, profile fields, and the Free-plan customer cap.

2. Service orders

   A service order is a job — measurements, lines, phases, and job cost. Reference code prefix WO-.

Documents

1. Sharing documents (PDF, public links, email)

   Three ways to send a quote or invoice: PDF, public link, or email-with-PDF. Same toolbar on both.

Sales

1. Quotes

   Send a quote, convert it into an invoice, and silence per-record notifications.

2. Invoices

   Send an invoice, record a payment (cash/check/card/ACH), generate a Stripe link, and sync to QuickBooks.

Catalog

1. Products and catalog

   Floor coverings, photos, attachments. Reorder point drives the low-stock notification.

2. Manufacturers, vendors, purchase orders, installers

   The supply side: brands you carry, companies you buy from, what's on order, and who installs.

Calendar

1. Calendar and scheduling

   Schedule jobs and assign installers. Drag to reschedule, with recurring entries on Pro. Every event ties to a service order.

Owner settings

1. Shop settings

   Shop name, timezone, currency (CAD or USD), and the Reply-To address. Owner-only.

2. Team management

   Invite teammates, edit roles and flags, deactivate or delete users. Seat caps per plan.

Books

1. QuickBooks integration

   Connect QuickBooks Online once, push invoices to keep your books clean. Owner-only.

Payments

1. Payment providers and Stripe

   Connect Stripe, generate hosted payment links, and let invoices flip to Paid automatically.

Owner settings

1. Subscription, plans, and limits

   Choose Starter or Pro from Stripe Checkout, manage billing in the Stripe portal, see what each plan unlocks.

2. Automated notifications

   Per-kind toggles, lead times, activity log, and consent — three layers of gating.
